You’ve had your eyes set on some new wheels for months and finally decided to bite the proverbial bullet and buy your new dream machine.
You park away from other vehicles so they won’t ding you when they open their doors in a parking lot and give other cars plenty of room, nothing is going to happen to your baby if you have something to say about it.
Then one day something does happen and that sick feeling in your stomach appears and nothing makes you feel better.
Imagine if your “dream machine” cost 100’s of millions of dollars like Cunard’s QUEEN VICTORIA. Since her maiden voyage in December she has rapidly become one of the most popular ships afloat and I know I’ve written plenty about her.
Wednesday she was making her maiden arrival in Malta when she apparently suffered some kind of mechanical malfunction and damaged her stern by colliding with a quay.
To make matters worse, Carnival Corp. Chairman and CEO, Mickey Arison was on-board when the accident occurred. Port officials are investigating what might have happened and the ship will remain while in Malta while repairs are made to the vessel.
